STORY

ー働く全ての人達へ

2020年突如として感染拡大したコロナウイルス。
私達の日常は一変し、行動制限を余儀なくされました。
先行きの見えない中、いわれのない不安感と閉塞感。いつまで続くのだろう...そう思いました。
それでも前を向いていかなければならない、
きっかけはTVに映るコロナ禍でも活動している医療従事者の姿でした。
armiでも何か役立てることがあるかもしれない、
そうしてWORKERのプロダクト制作がスタートしました。

In 2020, ”COVID?19" suddenly spread.Our daily lives were transformed and we were forced to restrict our activities.With no clear future in sight, we felt an unspeakable sense of anxiety and stagnation. How long would it last? Still, we felt we had to look forward.It all started with the images of medical workers dealing with the ”COVID?19" on TV.There might be something armi could do.And so start of the "WORKER" product.

高性能メリノウールをアップグレード

肌側をメリノウール、表をエジプト綿にしたWフェイスの「Smart」をさらに新改良。
肌にふれる面をメリノウールにすることでベタつきを抑えさらりと快適に、菌の繁殖を抑制し汗や体臭を臭わせず長時間持続します。（アンモニア抑制率98%）表側は、編み立て前の糸一本一本に撥水・防汚加工を施し、通気性を損なわず、呼吸する繊維であるメリノウールの特徴を最大限に発揮する設計にしました。


白TEE≠汚れ

白TEEの大敵である「汚れ」一日中、汚れを気にしながら働くのは、ワーカーにとって悩ましいことです。作業着に白はNGという声をよく聞きますが、WOKERは撥水性と防汚性を備えているため、水性の汚れに強く、洗濯で簡単に落とせます。日常のシーンを想定した汚れについて当社独自の方法で検証実験を行いました。(右：汚れをつけたまま5分放置後水洗い 左：汚れをつけたまま10時間放置後家庭洗濯）すべての汚れが完全に落ちるわけではありませんが、WORKERが汚れに強く、落ちやすいことが実証されました。 注）防汚加工は、すべての汚れに効果があるわけではなく、着用や洗濯を繰り返すと効果が低下します。長時間汚れが付着すると落ちにくくなりますので、汚れが付着したらすぐに除去してください。

安全性の高いPFOAフリー撥水

急な雨や水濡れをから私達を守る撥水加工は広く普及しています。近年この撥水加工に使われる成分の１つであるPFOA（C8）がリーチ規制の対象となりました。規制対象となった理由は人や環境への蓄積が懸念されての事。人類にとって便利な開発は一方で環境や人体に影響を及ぼすことも。地球環境に配慮された機能性はこれからのスタンダード。


現場主義デザイン

職種毎に必要となるスペックが違うのは当たり前。WORKERはそれぞれの現場で働く人達と意見交換をしながらその職業に必要な機能を盛り込んだデザインを共同で企画開発。
機能面から導き出す道具のような衣類のカタチ。
毎日着られて、日常を快適に過ごしやすくなるデイリーTシャツ。

Upgraded high-performance merino wool
The W-face "Smart," with merino wool on the skin side and Egyptian cotton on the front, has been further improved.
The merino wool on the surface that comes in contact with the skin makes the fabric comfortable and dry without stickiness, and inhibits the growth of bacteria, keeping sweat and body odor away for a long time. The front side is designed to maximize the characteristics of merino wool, which is a fiber that breathes without compromising breathability, by applying a water-repellent and stain-resistant treatment to each thread before knitting.

White TEE ≠ Stain
The great enemy of white TEEs is "stain. Working all day long while worrying about stains can be a problem for workers. We often hear people say that white is not a good choice for work wear, but WOKER has water repellency and stain resistance, so it is resistant to water-based stains and can be easily removed by washing. We conducted verification tests on stains assuming everyday scenes using our original method. (Right: left stain on for 5 minutes, washed in water Left: left stain on for 10 hours, washed at home) Although not all stains were completely removed, it was proven that WOKER is resistant to stains and easy to remove.
(Note) The stain-resistant finish is not effective against all stains, and its effectiveness decreases with repeated wear and washing. Stains will be difficult to remove if they adhere for a long time Remove the stain as soon as it adheres to the fabric.

PFOA-Free Safe Water Repellent
Water-repellent finishes are widely used to protect us from sudden rain and wetness. In recent years, PFOA (C8), one of the ingredients used in these water-repellent treatments, has become subject to reach regulation. The reason for the regulation was concern over the accumulation of PFOA in the human body and the environment. While the development of chemistry is convenient for mankind, it has the potential to affect the environment and the human body. Global environmentally friendly functionality is the standard for the future.

Field-Oriented Design
It is a given that the specifications required for each type of work differ, and WORKER collaborates with workers in each field to exchange opinions and plan and develop designs that incorporate the functions necessary for their respective occupations.
The form of clothing is like a tool derived from its functionality.
Daily T-shirts that can be worn every day and make everyday life easier and more comfortable.
The WORKER series supports the working people who support Japan.
